Summer is in full blast and all I can think about is dreamy blush patio decor. I love mixing textures with clean lines and I’ve been really diggin’ the whole modern bohemian vibe, so I created a visual board to start setting out feelers for our patio. Keal and I have been working hard on our home office and since its actually by our patio we wanted to try to carry that bohemian style outside too. Everything is very much in the planning stages and we’re really putting all our energy and funds into the office, so right now I’m only dreaming haha.
It has been horribly hot here in the Phoenix area but its cooler in the evenings and I can’t help but want to grab a glass of wine on my patio after a long day of work! We’ve been living in our townhome for about a year now and as we’re slowly honing into our style, we’re feeling the itch to do some major decorating and the patio is definitely up there on my to-do list.
Right now, the only one that seems to love hanging out in our empty and small outdoor area is Pancake, my dog! She loves laying under the hot sun! It’s actually pretty cool because the office has a slider door directly to the patio/outdoor common areas of our townhome, so once everything is done and I’m working out of there 100% of the time, Pancake is going to be a very happy dog!
I kind of laid out the overall area of the patio to give you an idea. Also, if you happen to be an Architect, don’t judge me too harshly, this is not to proportion at all and probably not done correctly haha.
My Blush Patio Plan + Overview
Our townhome came in with these cute little plants outlining it. We thought about taking them out to have more square footage for furniture but honestly we don’t have the funds and rather leave it as is and use what we have for the actual decor. We did add in some astro turf for Pancake and those days that we feel super lazy to take her out for her potty breaks.
Its a small space but we figure we can put a loveseat on the far end, do a small bistro area and then one hanging chair (because Keal insists on having one haha). We think that this would give us a couple of options to sit and we could entertain. Honestly I think its going to be a tad cramped. Don’t let my layout deceive you haha, we would need to narrow it down to the bistro area and the hanging chair to make the space more open and not full to the brim. Take a look at the pics below, you can see it is a bit smaller than I outlined.
I’m still tweaking and measuring out the actual furniture that would go in there to see if we can even do it. Since it’s still in dream phase I’m not taking anything out yet but definitely starting to seek out my style and what I want it to look like. I have my eye on some cute decor items from Anthro and CB2 that give me that mix of boho + modern but we’ll see! I hope to do this at least by September when the weather is cooler here in Phoenix.
Stay cool my friends!
