Disney Cocktail: Cherry Spiked Zootopia Pawpsicles

Perfect for summer, these cherry spiked Zooptopia Pawpsicles hit just the right spot! I love creating these boozy Disney cocktails for the kid at heart.

July 5, 2019

Summer here in Phoenix keep getting hotter and hotter so this time around we’re cooling off with these spiked Zootopia Pawpsicles! Creating these adult Disney cocktails is one of my favorite pieces of content to create. I love the process of taking something fun from Disney movies and turning it into a boozy fun cocktail. I started the series a while ago and then stopped because life got in the way, but I am making these a priority because it’s kind of a self love thing for me. Creating things purely out of passion and fun!

I haven’t had a popsicle in forever mainly because I don’t have that much of a sweet tooth, but there is something about summer that just makes me crave them! Zootopia is one of my all time favorite Disney movies and I had been wanting to turn Nick Wilde’s pawpsicles into a boozy version ever since the movie came out (which was a while ago!). I fiddled with a normal cherry popsicle recipe to make a less sweet (and spiked) version and I really liked how these came out!

The secret to making the perfect summer popsicle is the cherries! I tried to get some of the sweetest ones I could find so that I would limit the amount of refined sugar in the recipe. After all, according to Nick Wilde himself, these are meant to be super “organic” and all natural ????.

Spiked Zootopia Pawpsicles

[recipe title=”Cherry Spiked Zootopia Pawpsicles” time=”10 min” serves=”4 People”] [recipe-ingredients title=”You’ll Need:”]

  • 1/4 cup Organic Vodka
  • 2 cups Organic Frozen Red Cherries
  • 1/4 cup of Water
  • 3-4 tbsp of Organic Blue Agave
  • Zest of a Lemon
  • 1 tbsp Organic Lemon Juice
  • [/recipe-ingredients] [recipe-directions title=”Here’s How:”]

    1. Combine all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.
    2. Strain the mixture with a cheese cloth or a hand held strainer.
    3. Pour the mixture into the Pawpsicle molds and pop in the stick.
    4. Freeze overnight + enjoy!

    [/recipe-directions] [/recipe]

Pro tip! When taking the pawpsicles out of the molds, start with the top where the paw starts and gently peel back the mold. Once the mold is off, slowly pull out the wooden stick. I got one set of the paw mold but if you want to make a big batch I would get 2-3 of them.

I’ve done a lot of villain cocktails in the past, but I think I’m going to move on to other characters and heroes in the Disneyverse — at least until halloween! So expect some more cool recipes soon.

Which boozy Disney cocktail shall I make next?
