Hi, I'm Emmy!

I’m still pinching myself that we got to visit Tokyo Disneyland! I feel so lucky to have gotten a full on photoshoot in front of the castle with zero people in the background! That is almost unheard of at Disneyland or Disney World. So on our second day at the parks we knew that we had to take advantage of it. I curated this spring Minnie Mouse disneybound that is perfect for spring and got to document it with the gorgeous castle backdrop!

I had such a blast doing this and it is one of my favorite bonding moments with my husband, Keal. I used to be so shy in front of the camera… and as someone who loves to blog and create content it was always a source of anxiety. Luckily I have faced my fears and warmed up to it, this shoot was definitely a turning point for me on that front. Ok… on to the outfit details!

I am a pretty minimal gal at heart. I actually call my whole wardrobe and style “colorfully minimal”. I love colorblocking and keeping it simple yet fun. My last Minnie Mouse Disneybound was a very subtle polka dot look. This time around, I found this yellow polka dotted skirt on my east coast soul sister’s apparel shop (Oh Yeah Apparel) and knew I had to have it. The soft blush top was love at first sight at Anthropologie (similar here). I use it ALL the time, it is such a versatile piece that goes with everything and doesn’t make you look like you’re an outfit repeater.

I paired this look with the “Millennial” Pink Minnie Mouse ears for a theme park day look. But if you’re like me and like to do a little Disney style on a regular day, I also paired this outfit with the perfect rose colored glasses — plus they are heart shaped!

My favorite part of the whole day was pairing my whole look with a croissant and coffee. I felt like a modern day Audrey Hepburn… but switch out the pearls for polka dots and instead of a black and white look it’s a bit more colorful haha. Let’s just say it’s a Minnie meets Audrey pose haha!

I know I do a lot of Minnie Mouse disneybounds so for my next one I will do my best to channel a different character. I just can’t help it, I really love polka dots! Who should I do next? Let me know in the comments!
